New Beginnings

Hello, Readers!

We’ve come to the beginning of another academic year here at Franciscan. Looking back at the Gadfly over the last year, we’ve covered an immense amount of ground in a short time. Our publication struggled and succeeded immensely in creating a new identity for itself.

We’ve made great efforts to focus the articles of the Gadfly – we’ve striven for quality intellectual articles that will get people thinking. We’ve worked to create themes that unite these articles and present several aspects of one issue. We’re working hard to reach out to the students of Franciscan University, to be a platform for students to be able to make their voice heard, and promoting discussion among the student body. I believe we have been very successful in achieving these goals and I believe that we will continue this trend this semester.

So, we begin this new chapter of the Gadfly’s story with new additions to our staff.  Anthony Halstead is our new Editor-in-Chief, James Monsour is our new Copy Editor, and Rachel Harrell is our Photographer. Keep your eyes out for the Gadfly coming very, very soon.
